This week's route will offer a sense of familiarity, as we will start on the same roads as last week. However, we will head north towards Edina via the Minnesota Valley State Trail, following a clockwise direction. The trail will greet us with its enchanting scenery, allowing us to soak in the beauty of nature as we pedal onward. Just like last week, we will take a well-deserved break at Hyland Park, pausing to refuel and chat amidst the tranquility of the surroundings.

This week’s ride will follow our route to Shakopee clockwise. On this 61-mile route, we’ll mostly travel roads that we haven’t been on since last year. If needed, you can shorten the route about ten miles, by taking Stagecoach Rd north to State Corridor Refuge Trail to Bloomington Ferry Rd and get back on the route near Hyland Lake Park. We'll stop at Hyland Lake Park.

This Saturday’s ride will be from Rosemount to Northfield clockwise, starting at 8:00. The shoulder along CR 47 is narrow most of the way from Hampton to Northfield, so you’ll need to ride single file. There will also be crosswinds on that section, so take it slow to avoid dropping riders. The road construction on CR86 is continuing and paving of the roadway from Garrett Avenue to Foliage Avenue was scheduled for this week, so we should have new pavement for that short section of the road.

This week's ride is going to be a good one. We will be cycling along the Cannon River, Lake Byllesby, and through the beautiful farm fields of Dakota County. We are going to follow our usual 57-mile loop from Rosemount to Cannon Falls, going clockwise. The ride will start at 08:00, so don't forget to set your alarms and be on time. Once we reach Cannon Falls, we'll take a break to refuel and rest before heading back home.

Saturday’s ride will be to Prescott and Grey Cloud Island. Like last week’s route, this 60-mile loop has a stop early in the route at Point Douglas Park, and a few other nature-break opportunities, if needed. The route also has 1,900 feet of climbing, with about a third of it coming right in the four miles after leaving the park and another four-mile stretch from Rock Island Swing Bridge to Hwy 52.

Summer is here and this week we’re riding from Rosemount to Hastings and Revenna Trail clockwise. As usual, the ride will start at 8:00, and we’ll stop at the Lock and Dam in Hastings for a nature break. During our ride, we should have great weather with temps from 71 to 83 degrees, partly sunny skies, and light 4-5 mph winds from the east.

Monday’s Memorial Day ride will be via our Northfield route counterclockwise, starting from Starbucks in Rosemount at 8:00. This 55-mile route has about 1,000 feet of climbing and a stop at Brick Oven Bakery.

Saturday’s ride will be via our Cannon Falls route counterclockwise. We will leave Starbucks in Rosemount at 8:00, as usual for this time of year. This 55-mile route has about 1,000 feet of climbing and a stop at Sweet Kneads Cannon Falls Bakery, which was formerly known as Hi-Quality Bakery.

This week, starting at 08:00 from Starbucks, we’re heading west to Prior Lake and stopping at Edelwiess Bakery before returning to Rosemount. We’ll avoid flooding at Black Dog Lake trail by staying on high ground near Hwy 13 in Eagan and Burnsville.

Saturday’s ride will start from Rosemount at 08:00. The route will follow our Revenna Trail route clockwise. We’ll head east to Hastings and stop briefly at Lock and Dam #2 before heading a little further east to Revenna Trail where, hopefully, we’ll be mostly sheltered from the crosswinds. The map shows three gravel sections, but don't worry, we can bypass the first one that connects Hwy 55 to the trailhead and the two longer gravel sections are asphalt.
