Ride Saturday, April 20

Warm and windy weather is in store for us on Saturday, which is pretty typical for our spring-time rides. We’ll do our first morning ride of the season, so no sleeping in this week. 😊

Plan to leave Rosemount at 08:00 and ride south to Northfield (55 miles), Castle Rock (44 miles), or Farmington (25 miles), depending on your time and fitness constraints. We’ll go counterclockwise and south on Hwy 3 to the roundabout at 195th St, rather than taking Pilot Knob Rd. In Northfield, we’ll stop at Brick Oven Bakery for some goodies.

Ride Saturday, September 15

This week, we'll ride south to one of our favorite destinations, Northfield. We will leave Rosemount at 8:00 and follow the route clockwise; stopping at Brick Oven Bakery for a bite to eat.

Thank you to Don and Mike for leading the rides, while I was away the last two weeks. I haven't been on a bike for nearly three weeks, so hopefully my legs don't revolt Saturday morning.

In the Men's 15–16 Road Race, he finished fourth. Nick has previously won a national championship in Cyclocross and Mountain Bike.

Ride Saturday, July 7

This week's ride will leave Rosemount, at 08:00, and go to Northfield and back, since the wind will be from the south and I won't be able to lead the ride this week. No one has volunteered to be ride captain, so I'm nominating the oldest rider to be the this week's ride leader. They will be responsible for the group and the route direction, or appointing someone else to do the same. Use a circular paceline to keep everyone together on your ride to Northfield.

Ride Saturday, Apr 28

It looks like it will be a great day for a ride again Saturday. This week's ride will leave Starbucks at 09:00 and follow the Northfield route clockwise for 56 miles. We usually stop at Blue Monday, in downtown Northfield, for a pastry and coffee. If you need a shorter route, you can take one of a couple shortcuts, like staying on CR 66 west to Farmington, rather than turning south at CR 79 (Blaine Avenue). Another shortcut would be to turn west at CR 86 (280th St). I'm giving you a couple of options here, because I won't be able to lead the ride. Someone familiar with the route will have to step up an lead the group.
