Indoor and Outdoor Club Rides in 2024

Zwifters, we will continue offering Saturday morning club rides on Zwift, whenever we do not offer outdoor club rides on Saturdays. The rides are usually about 90 to 120 minutes long, but you can stop at any time, since you're always at home. You may register now for tomorrow’s ride.

Our first outdoor club ride of the year will be Sunday afternoon. The ride will start at 1:00 PM from Starbucks in Rosemount and head south to Northfield in a counterclockwise direction. We’ll stop in Northfield for a short break before returning to Rosemount. The weather Sunday will be in the mid to upper 40s, with sunny skies, and south winds at 6 to 9 mph.

Update: The rain that came overnight has moved on, so the ride will start at 8:00, as planned.

This Saturday, starting at 8:00, we’re going to ride south to Northfield in a counterclockwise direction. It will be warm for this time of year, with temps from 69 to 76 degrees, mostly sunny skies, and a south wind around 6 mph. Next weekend, it will be about 20 degrees colder, so let’s enjoy what may be our last ride of the year without arm and leg warmers.

Saturday’s ride will leave Rosemount at 8:00 and follow our Northfield route counterclockwise. This route starts off by winding through Rosemount for 6 miles before heading south to Northfield, where we’ll stop at B.O.B. This 55-mile loop has less than 1000 feet of elevation and a lot fewer stop signs or traffic lights than most of our recent routes, so it will be a nice change of pace. Please note that our rides start at the advertised time, so don’t expect everyone else to wait for you if you show up late.

Ride Saturday, June 24

This Saturday’s ride will be from Rosemount to Northfield clockwise, starting at 8:00. The shoulder along CR 47 is narrow most of the way from Hampton to Northfield, so you’ll need to ride single file. There will also be crosswinds on that section, so take it slow to avoid dropping riders. The road construction on CR86 is continuing and paving of the roadway from Garrett Avenue to Foliage Avenue was scheduled for this week, so we should have new pavement for that short section of the road.

Saturday’s ride will start in Rosemount at 08:00 and follow our counterclockwise Northfield route. This route is quite flat, with less than 1000 feet of elevation over its 55-mile length. We’ll stop at Brick Oven Bakery for a snack and conversation. During the ride, we should have temps from 64 to 74 degrees, partly-cloudy skies, and light south winds at 2 to 6 mph.

Ride Saturday, July 2

Saturday’s ride will be to Brick Oven Bakery in Northfield via our 56-mile counterclockwise route. During the ride, it should be mostly cloudy with temps from 68 to 75 and light winds.

For those of you looking for a ride Monday, you may want to do the Great Scott Bike Ride. They have 25 and 50-mile routes leaving from Lakefront Park in Prior Lake at 08:00. There’s a good chance of rain Monday, so we won’t have our own ride.

The 2022 Tour de France will begin Friday in Copenhagen with an individual time trial and two more days of flat racing in Denmark before the race transfers to France. The race airs live on NBC, USA and Peacock.
