2021 Rider Satisfaction Survey Results

This year, 21 people completed our 2021 Rider Satisfaction Survey, which was open September through December, and we collected feedback via a short, nine-question survey. The survey, over the last four years, has been largely the same, with minor changes to questions 5 (ride speed), 6 (preferred routes), and 7 (cycling kit), some years.

This week’s group ride will be indoors on Zwift at 08:00. We’ll ride the 43-mile Big Foot Hills route, which should take about two hours. More than 40 of you who follow me (Cory Wagner) on Zwift, have already been invited to the ride. Ride Saturday, November 6

Will this be our last outdoor ride for the season? Who knows what the weather has in store for us beyond next week? It’s going to be noticeably colder next weekend, so we may do a Zwift ride instead of a cold and windy outdoor ride. We’ll continue to schedule outdoor rides when the feels-like temps are above 40 and the roads are dry.

This week, we will ride outdoors at 09:00. During the ride, it will be sunny with temps from 46 to 57 degrees, and SSW winds from 6 to 8 mph. We’ll follow our Prior Lake via Black Dog Lake route counterclockwise. This 48-mile ride will stop in Prior Lake before the 20-mile return to Rosemount.

Saturday, we have another good-weather day for riding, and we’re going to get started at 10:00. This week’s route will follow our 45-mile Orchard Lake route counterclockwise. It’s been nearly a year since we’ve ridden this route. During the ride, it will start off partly cloudy and clear up by the end, we’ll have temps from 42 to 50 degrees, and south winds from 3 to 5 mph.

Again this week, Saturday’s ride will start at 13:00, because we’re expecting temperatures below freezing in the morning and it will take a while to warm up. During the ride, it will be sunny with a few clouds, temps from 47 to 50, and east winds at 5 mph. The ride will follow our Grey Cloud Island route clockwise, which took us about 3:40 when we rode it in July.

Fall weather is suddenly upon us, and because it will take a while to warm up, and we aren’t yet acclimated to the cold, we’ll be starting our ride Saturday at 13:00. The route will be Shakopee counterclockwise, with some changes to shorten it a little and avoid some afternoon traffic. It will be sunny with temps about 55 degrees and west winds at 12 mph.

This week, the abnormally warm weather continues, and we’re going to follow our Revenna Trail route clockwise. This 54-mile route has a stop at the Lock and Dam in Hastings, and another along the route, if needed. The ride will start at 08:00. The weather forecast is partly cloudy skies with temps from 61 to 70 degrees and SE winds at 6 - 8 mph.

This weekend’s ride will follow our Tour of Bloomington route clockwise. Fall colors are starting to appear in Bloomington, so we will have a nice, scenic ride, with a stop Hyland Lake Park Reserve. The weather forecast says it may rain Saturday morning so, if it’s wet Saturday, I’ll postpone the ride to Sunday morning. Either day, the ride will start at 08:00 from Starbucks.

This week’s ride will start in Rosemount, at 08:00, and we’ll follow this modified version of our Prior Lake via Black Dog Lake counterclockwise. I’ve added a small change to the route to loop around town from the north before getting to our destination in Prior Lake. This adds a couple of miles and avoids the out-and-back along 160th Street in Prior Lake. We did this extra bit in the other direction on July 24. Let me know how you like it. The weather forecast says it will be partly cloudy with temps from 45 to 60 degrees, and west winds at 6 to 9 mph.
