Our annual Winter Gathering will be returning to Union 32 in Eagan, and we’ll be hosted in their party room.
All are invited to a watch party of Keith Morical's documentary The Ride, which chronicles his record-setting adventure of riding to each of the 48 contiguous states of our country. This is a free showing. Beer, wine, and other refreshments, are available for purchase from the venue.

It may not look like it outside now, but we will do another outdoor ride Saturday. It will be windy from the northwest Saturday afternoon, so I’ve shortened our normal Bloomington loop a few miles and we’ll do that loop clockwise. The ride will leave Starbucks in Rosemount at 1:00 pm. During the ride, it should be about 47 degrees with mostly sunny skies and WNW winds at 10 to 14 mph.
Our kit order has arrived. You may pick up your order before or after our rides.
Read MoreThis year, 21 people completed our 2021 Rider Satisfaction Survey, which was open September through December, and we collected feedback via a short, nine-question survey. The survey, over the last four years, has been largely the same, with minor changes to questions 5 (ride speed), 6 (preferred routes), and 7 (cycling kit), some years.
Read MoreThis year, 27 people completed our 2020 Rider Satisfaction Survey, which was open throughout September and October. (There are 42 paid members and 120 addresses on our mailing list.) We collected feedback via a short, nine-question survey. The survey, over the last three years, has been largely the same, with minor changes to questions 5 (ride speed), 6 (preferred routes) and 7 (cycling kit).
The first four questions were basic satisfaction inquiries. All participants reported that our group rides meet their needs, 96% of participants said they were satisfied or very satisfied with our club, and 96% said we have very-high-quality or high-quality rides. Safety of our rides was rated as above average or excellent by 92% of participants. None of these responses are surprising, because you’d probably riding elsewhere if we weren’t meeting these basic needs.
Read MoreDue to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve only had one group ride outdoors this season. Hopefully, you and your family have been healthy and the pandemic hasn’t stopped you from getting on a bike to exercise. As things start to open up again, our risk of infecting COVID-19 may also be declining, as new cases in Minnesota very recently have been lower than they have been since April 22. Hopefully the downward trend continues and the recent George Floyd / BLM protests do not cause a new spike in infections. We won’t be able to return to the old “normal,” but we can manage our risk and do what we feel comfortable doing.

Our club's Garneau kit order and 120 pairs of custom-made RCC socks have arrived at Grand Performance, and I'm going to pick them up this weekend. I'll distribute your Garneau purchases and sell the socks at our rides.
