It's supposed to rain all weekend, so there won't be a group ride this week. If you want to get in some miles in the next few days, it looks like you'll want to get out on Monday.
Our club's Garneau kit order and 120 pairs of custom-made RCC socks have arrived at Grand Performance, and I'm going to pick them up this weekend. I'll distribute your Garneau purchases and sell the socks at our rides.

Read MoreThroughout October, we collected feedback from our riders via a short, nine-question survey and 37 people participated. There are 45 paid members and 100 addresses on our mailing list.
The first four questions were basic satisfaction inquiries. All participants reported that our group rides meet their needs, 97% of participants said they were very satisfied or satisfied with our club, and 95% said we have very-high-quality or high-quality rides. Safety of our rides was rated as above average or excellent by 92% of participants. None of these responses are surprising, because you’d probably riding elsewhere if we weren’t meeting these basic needs.

Please take a couple of hours to volunteer at Free Bikes 4 Kidz this weekend. Volunteers, like you, have already refurbished more than 2,500 bikes. FB4K needs your help to fix about 3,000 more bikes, so they can give them to Minnesota kids in need. Every volunteer and every hour counts. I will be there Saturday, at Noon, and I hope to see you there, too.

Read MoreSaturday, we will ride to Prior Lake. We will following the Orchard Lake route for most of the route, since the trail along the Minnesota River is still underwater and we can't use the normal Prior Lake route. This route will be about 55 miles and it will include a stop at Edelwiess Bakery. As usual, we'll leave Rosemount at 08:00.
Earlier this month, four girls from the NorthStar Development team — Jenn Mettler, Erika Peterson, Lily Ensign, and Josephine Rimirez — raced in Canada at the Le Tour de la relève internationale de Rimouski. They competed in the five-day race and we helped them get there with a $400 sponsorship to reduce the cost of their trip.

This is an important 5-day stage race for cadet-age girls (15–16 age). Its mission is to prepare young athletes for international competition in Tour De France style stage racing. This is the only North American stage race for girls to experience stage racing, in a large field (70!) of other girls.
