We’re going to try a new route to Shakopee this week. This 63-mile route is an extension of our Tour of Bloomington route and we’ll do it counterclockwise. In Shakopee, we’ll stop at the Donut Connection for coffee and pastries. The weather should be nice with partly cloudy skies, temps from 64 to 76 degrees, and a 7 mph west wind. The ride will leave Rosemount at 08:00.

This week, we will be riding the Cannon Falls route clockwise. We will leave Starbucks at 08:00, which will be our normal summertime start time. In Cannon Falls, we'll stop at Hi-Quality Bakery for some pastries and a pit stop. The 56-mile route should take us three hours to complete.

Sunday afternoon looks like it will be warm enough for a ride for a few hearty souls. It's supposed to get cold overnight Sunday morning, but it should warm up into the mid 30s in the afternoon. Let's plan on a ride Sunday at 13:00 and I'll post an update on Sunday morning.

Thunderstorms are forecast for Saturday morning, so let's give back to our community and volunteer as mechanics for Free Bikes 4 Kidz. You may remember that I sent a message about this opportunity a few weeks ago. They have a 26 slots open on Saturday 09:00 - 12:00 at their warehouse.
