Saturday Rides Starting from Starbucks in Rosemount, MN
This week’s ride will be from Rosemount to Edina via I-35W and I-494 clockwise, starting at 9:00. It’s supposed to rain through the 7:00 hour, so we are going to delay the start. We’ll stop at the Hyland Lake Park Reserve visitor center, which is 24 miles into the ride and has food and drinks. This 57-mile ride should take us about 3.5 hours. This route has less elevation than most of the rides we’ve done this season, but the wind will make it more of a challenge. Our route will be Saint Paul Summit Ave clockwise, which is about 45-miles long and has about 2,000 feet of elevation. We’ll likely stop for a short nature break at Cherokee Regional Park, which is just past the High Bridge. Sunday morning it will be 52°F to 60°F, with sunny skies and a light north wind at about 4 mph.
