Ride Saturday, April 27

On Saturday, our ride will start from Starbucks at 9:00 and we’ll travel from Rosemount to Prior Lake in a counterclockwise direction. This 50-mile route has around 1,800 feet of elevation for a good challenge. Our mid-ride stop will be in downtown Prior Lake, where you can buy pastries and cookies from bakeries at the farmer’s market or Edelweiss bakery.

Today’s rain will continue overnight, and the latest weather forecast shows that the rain will end by 7:00 Saturday. The forecast indicates a small chance of rain (<25%) for the remainder of the morning, so fingers crossed that the roads will be dry by the time our wheels hit the pavement. During the ride, it will be cloudy with temperatures around 56°F to 60°F, accompanied by southwest winds about 15 mph. If Saturday morning’s weather turns out to be wet, we’ll postpone the ride until the afternoon.
