Saturday Rides Starting from Starbucks in Rosemount, MN
This year, 21 people completed our 2021 Rider Satisfaction Survey, which was open September through December, and we collected feedback via a short, nine-question survey. The survey, over the last four years, has been largely the same, with minor changes to questions 5 (ride speed), 6 (preferred routes), and 7 (cycling kit), some years.

It’s going to be noticeably colder next weekend, so we may do a Zwift ride instead of a cold and windy outdoor ride. We’ll continue to schedule outdoor rides when the feels-like temps are above 40 and the roads are dry.
This week, we will ride outdoors at 09:00. During the ride, it will be sunny with temps from 46 to 57 degrees, and SSW winds from 6 to 8 mph. We’ll follow our Prior Lake via Black Dog Lake route counterclockwise. This 48-mile ride will stop in Prior Lake before the 20-mile return to Rosemount.

It’s been nearly a year since we’ve ridden this route. During the ride, it will start off partly cloudy and clear up by the end, we’ll have temps from 42 to 50 degrees, and south winds from 3 to 5 mph.

The route will be Shakopee counterclockwise, with some changes to shorten it a little and avoid some afternoon traffic. It will be sunny with temps about 55 degrees and west winds at 12 mph.

The weather forecast is partly cloudy skies with temps from 61 to 70 degrees and SE winds at 6 - 8 mph.

Fall colors are starting to appear in Bloomington, so we will have a nice, scenic ride, with a stop Hyland Lake Park Reserve. The weather forecast says it may rain Saturday morning so, if it’s wet Saturday, I’ll postpone the ride to Sunday morning. Either day, the ride will start at 08:00 from Starbucks.

I’ve added a small change to the route to loop around town from the north before getting to our destination in Prior Lake. This adds a couple of miles and avoids the out-and-back along 160th Street in Prior Lake. We did this extra bit in the other direction on July 24. Let me know how you like it.
