Community Champion

Award Selection Criteria

  1. Community Impact Beyond the Club
The nominee’s actions must provide a meaningful benefit to individuals or groups outside the Rosemount Cycling Club—such as local residents, families, schools, nonprofits, or under-served communities. Moreover, the impact may be local, state-wide, national or international in scope.

  2. Cycling-Related Service or Advocacy
Eligible activities should incorporate a cycling component. Examples include donating bicycles or cycling gear, organizing or participating in cycling-related charity initiatives like Bike MS rides, supporting mobility or access via bikes, or promoting safe cycling in the community.

  3. Contributions Within the Past Year
The service, initiative, or project should have largely taken place within the last 12 months, ensuring the award recognizes current and relevant community engagement.

  4. Demonstrated Leadership and Initiative
The nominee should have shown personal leadership, creativity, or initiative—whether by conceiving, organizing, or significantly contributing to a family or community-benefiting activity.

  5. Positive Representation of the Club
The nominee’s actions should reflect favorably on the Rosemount Cycling Club by embodying the club’s values of healthy living, fellowship, knowledge sharing, and community engagement.

  6. Sustainable or Lasting Benefit
Preference will be given to actions that create ongoing or long-term value—such as programs, partnerships, or resources that continue to support community members beyond the initial event.
