Saturday Rides Starting from Starbucks in Rosemount, MN
This week's ride will leave Rosemount, at 08:00, and go to Northfield and back, since the wind will be from the south and I won't be able to lead the ride this week. No one has volunteered to be ride captain, so I'm nominating the oldest rider to be the this week's ride leader. They will be responsible for the group and the route direction, or appointing someone else to do the same. Use a circular paceline to keep everyone together on your ride to Northfield.

Another ride on July 4 is the Great Scott 50 Classic Bike Ride in Prior Lake. Check-in begins at 7:15 am. The 50-mile route departs at 8:00 am and the 25-mile route departs at 8:30 am.

The route is 45 miles long, and you can cut it a bit shorter. As many of you know, this is a hilly ride for a stretch along Judicial Rd, so we'll group up at couple of points along the way to keep everyone together. Hopefully, rain won't be a problem this week.
Read MoreSaturday, we will return to Cannon Falls, with a stop downtown at Hi-Quality Bakery. We will follow the route clockwise and, due to construction on CR 46, we will take CR 42 and Hwy 55 to get to CR 85 and head south toward Cannon Falls. The ride will still be about 56 miles long.

Read MoreSaturday, we will leave Rosemount at 08:00 and follow a 70-mile course, which is based on the Revenna Trail route that we did a couple of weeks ago, and it includes a couple of roads that we haven't been on for a few years. We are going clockwise, so even the same roads will feel like new ones. The Prairie Island route will take us through Hastings and out Revenna Trail and beyond to near the Prairie Island power plant, where there's a 2.75-mile, 383 foot climb at the half-way point and then we return to Rosemount with a tail wind. If you need to make shorter, there are a couple of good turnaround points. If it rains Saturday morning, we will do the same ride Sunday at the same time.
Read MoreIt's supposed to rain all day Saturday, so we will ride Sunday morning instead. We'll ride north into Minneapolis to the Greenway and stop at Sabastian Joe's. Sunday, the ride will start at 08:00 from Starbucks and we'll follow the Greenway route counter clockwise. The High Bridge is closed, so we will change the route some and cross the river at Wabasha Street.

As always, you may join us along the route in Eagan or elsewhere. We'll make a pit stop at the gas station at Wabasha and Plato and return home with a nice tail wind.
