Ride Saturday, June 5

It’s June and summer is here. For our ride Saturday, the weather will be sunny and warm with temps from 77 to 85 degrees and a SW wind at 11 mph, so bring plenty of water and/or energy drinks. We will leave Rosemount at 08:00 and ride clockwise to Northfield. There will be a stop at Brick Oven Bakery for a short break before we return to the start.

New members and riders, if you’re interested in purchasing our club kit, we have a limited quantity of items available. You will find a full list, with available sizes and quantities. I’ll hold the kit for you only after receiving payment.

For those of you who are interested in the status of the Minnesota Valley State Trail under the Highway 169 bridge that’s been closed all spring, I emailed the project manager, Eric Mruz, to see if he could tell me when the trail will be opened again. He wrote the following response.

This is a contract by the Army Corp of Engineers. I asked that question last week and their reply was to be open by July 31, 2021. This is very disappointing for us and I apologize that the trail reopening has taken so long. Thank you for your patience as we eagerly wait to open the trail again.
