Ride Sunday, June 16

If you want to ride Saturday, get out there early, because the weather forecast says it’s supposed to start raining by the 10:00 hour all the way through 7:00 Sunday. Therefore, our ride this weekend will start Sunday at 9:00. We’ll ride in a clockwise direction to Brick Oven Bakery in Northfield.

Hopefully you can join us Sunday for a nice Father’s Day ride. During the ride, it should be mostly sunny, with temps from 76°F to 82°F, and a south wind from 10 to14 mph. And don't forget your sunscreen.

Finally, I’ve been meaning to add this safety note, and I finally remembered to include it! We’ve had a few times recently where one or more riders at the front of the group continue through an intersection when it’s not safe for the whole group to proceed. This can cause other riders to continue because they think it’s safe and/or it causes drivers to stop when they have the right-of-way. When leading a group of about 15 riders or less, you should stop whenever it’s not safe for the entire group. I know it’s often easy to roll through a roundabout or uncontrolled intersection, but think about the safety of everyone and don’t give drivers any reason to be mad at us.
