Ride Saturday, October 3

Saturday’s ride will depart from Starbucks at 8:00, and the route will be from Rosemount to Northfield counterclockwise. We’ll stop at Goodbye Blue Monday Coffeehouse for food and a nature break. We will maintain a steady pace of 18–20 mph, and keep everyone together.

Free Bikes 4 Kidz MN
They've got their warehouse location at 694 and Main Street in Fridley secured, now it's time for the fun part -- filling it with bikes! This year, they have 15 locations, including all six Apple Autos stores, eight Minneapolis Parks sites, and The Sanneh Foundation collecting bikes now through October 3rd. Another eight locations, including three LifeTime gyms and five partner organizations, are collecting October 3rd from 9am to 1pm. No bikes to donate this year, but still wanting to help get kids on bikes? They're looking for volunteer help at many of their October 3rd collection locations, the warehouse that afternoon to unload trucks, and throughout the year working on bikes at the warehouse. All shifts for the season are ready, so head over and sign up!

Memorial Ride
Dan Casebeer shared with me: Our gruppi is having a ride on Sunday, October 4th for our fallen Brothers and Sisters of cycling. The ride will be starting at 8:00 from Dunn’s brothers on Grand Ave. It will be a couple-hour ride; talking, reminiscing, riding our old bikes (if you have one). All are welcome.
