Ride Saturday, October 1
Saturday’s ride will follow our Revenna Trail route counterclockwise. This 53-mile route doesn’t have a typical food stop, so bring something to eat. We’ll continue to start our rides at 08:00 until the temps or lack of morning light force us to start later. The weather during the ride should be good, with partly cloudy skies, temps from 52 to 62, and light SE winds.
Monday, October 3, Gary Johnson is organizing his first Lake Pepin ride in 5 years. You may meet for the ride at the McDonald’s just west of downtown Red Wing on Hwy. 61 at 08:00. From there, the ride will go east on the frontage road 1/2 mi east to the parking lot on the Cannon Valley trail. Ride time is 8:30.
This is a 80-mile loop around Lake Pepin counter-clockwise with a coffee stop half way at the Eagles Nest coffee shop in Wabasha. Total climbing is about 3,000 feet. All these climbs will be done at your speed, with a group up at the top. The group should be back in Red Wing about 13:45. Some of the group usually stop for burgers on the way home at the House of Coates in Coates.
