It looks like we’ll have another perfect summer day for our group ride Saturday, and we’re going to head to Cannon Falls following our counterclockwise route. If you have the time and energy to ride longer, you may want to add 25 miles and another 1000 feet of elevation by going to Welch before returning to Rosemount. We’ll all stop for a break at Hi-Quality Bakery in Cannon Falls. As usual, the ride starts from Starbucks at 08:00.

The weather forecast during Saturday’s ride is partly cloudy with temps from 70 degrees and SSE winds at about 6 mph.

At the Tour de France, it has been nice to see just a few small crashes and few DNFs during the first week of racing. The cobbles caused the expected mayhem and drama for stage 5. The end of Friday's stage should shake things up once again. I've been enjoying the commercial-free coverage of the world feed via Peacock.
