Ride Saturday, October 17

This week, we will start our ride from Rosemount at 09:00. That should give any early morning rain or snow time to clear out and make way for another great ride. We will be riding to Edina, following a route that we did in July, with a stop at Hyland Park in Bloomington. The 54-mile course has a little more elevation gain than last week’s ride. Autumn colors are past peak, but we should still have some great scenery.

The wind direction is expected to change throughout the rides, so could have a tail wind for nearly the whole route. It will be partly sunny with temps from 42 to 53 degrees and 10 mph winds.

It’s that time of the year when Free Bikes 4 Kidz needs your help. On October 3, they collected over 7,000 bikes and now they need your help to repair them, so that some lucky, and needy, kids can ride them. You may also donate bikes and cash. FB4K has refurbished and given away 56,000 bikes in 12 years in Minnesota alone.

If you’ve ridden with us this year, please take two minutes to complete a short survey. Your feedback affects how I organize the rides and plan our kit orders.
