Ride Saturday, July 15

For our ride this week, we will be heading west from Rosemount to Bloomington and Prior Lake counterclockwise. We’ll get there by going through Bloomington, because the trail along Hwy 35W is still closed. Burnsville is raising the trail, to avoid future closures due to flooding, and they moved the opening date back a week. This route is 54 miles and has about 2100 feet of climbing. We’ll stop in Prior Lake before returning to Rosemount.

During our ride, we’ll have great weather, with sunny skies, temps from 69 to 79 degrees, and a west wind from 5 to 10 mph.

Finally, I’m asking you to take a couple of minutes to read Group Riding Etiquette and Safety Tips. Whether you’re riding solo, with our club, or with another group, you want to get home safely, and so do your companions. When taking part in a group ride, you are partly responsible for the riders behind and around you. And, if you’re at the front of the peloton, you are responsible for moving the group to avoid debris, large holes, and other obstacles in the group’s path.
