Ride Memorial Day, May 31

We’re hosting a special Memorial Day ride Monday. This ride will start at Hyland Lake Park Preserve (10145 E Bush Lake Rd, Bloomington), not Rosemount, and head west to Waconia and back. This 60-mile ride will start at 08:00, and we should be back at the park before Noon. We’ll stop for a short break at a coffee shop in Waconia (there are several in the same area). There are a couple of places where you could shortcut to shorten the route, if needed. Let me know before the ride if you need directions.

We’ve stopped at Hyland Lake many times in the last year for a mid-ride break, so many of you have seen the park. We’ll meet up at 08:00 at Sunnyside Picnic Area, which is south of the Visitor Center. Please do not park immediately west of the Visitor Center.

The weather should be near perfect Monday with partly cloudy skies, WSW winds at 7 mph, and temps from 56 to 69 degrees during the ride.

We’ll host a potluck lunch at the Sunnyside Picnic Area at Noon. If you can’t ride with us Monday, you can still join us for the potluck. I created a simple sign-up sheet for the potluck, so we cover all the basics for a nice lunch. If you can join us, please sign up to bring something for the post-ride lunch. If everything is taken, sign up to bring something not on the list or bring more of something you like.

If you want to change clothesafter the ride, the Visitor Center has clean restrooms with plenty of space to do that.
